Aror

Also known as Alor

Aror, also called Alor, was the capital of medieval Sindh, near modern Rohri and Sukkur in Pakistan. It was the seat of the Rai dynasty and of the Brahman dynasty of Chach, and fell to the Arab general Muhammad ibn Qasim in the early 8th century. A shift of the Indus away from the city led to its decline, and its ruins lie near the village of Arore.
