Bab al-Futuh
Bab al-Futuh is one of the monumental gates in the northern wall of Fatimid Cairo, built in the late eleventh century under the vizier Badr al-Jamali. Constructed of stone with rounded towers, it is a fine example of Fatimid military architecture. It survives today along with Bab al-Nasr and Bab Zuwayla.
