Bajaur
Bajaur is a district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, on the Afghan border north of Peshawar. Alexander the Great campaigned in the area in 327 BCE, and in the following centuries it was a Buddhist borderland of Gandhara, home of the Apracharaja rulers, whose inscribed reliquaries have been found there. It was a tribal agency until it merged into the province in 2018.
