Azes I
Azes I was an Indo-Scythian king of north-western India in the 1st century BCE who ruled over Gandhara and the Punjab. He is widely thought to have founded the Azes era, which began in about 57 BCE and was used in later inscriptions, though its exact start is debated. His abundant coins continued Indo-Greek bilingual designs.
