Banu Ijl
The Banu Ijl were an Arab tribe of the Bakr ibn Wa'il confederation, living in eastern Arabia and on the edges of Iraq before Islam. Clans of the tribe took part in the victory over the Sasanians at Dhi Qar. Under the Abbasids the tribe produced the Dulafid family, whose founder Abu Dulaf governed the Jibal in western Iran.
