Banu Kalb
The Banu Kalb were an Arab tribe of the Syrian steppe, part of the Quda'a confederation. They were key allies of the Umayyad Caliphate in the 7th century, and Mu'awiya's wife Maysun was a Kalbi. In the 11th century they joined the Jarrahids and Mirdasids in an alliance to divide Syria, which the Fatimids defeated in 1029.
