Battle of Wogastisburg
The Battle of Wogastisburg was fought in 631 or 632 between the Slavs led by Samo and the army of the Frankish king Dagobert I. According to the Chronicle of Fredegar, the Franks besieged the stronghold for three days before being routed and fleeing, leaving their camp behind. The victory secured Samo's realm; the site, probably in Bohemia or nearby, has not been identified.
