Person
Bhasa
Bhasa was one of the earliest known Sanskrit dramatists, praised by Kalidasa as a famous predecessor, though his dates are uncertain. A group of thirteen plays attributed to him was discovered in manuscripts in Kerala in 1912. They include the Svapnavasavadatta, about King Udayana of Vatsa, and dramas drawn from the Mahabharata and Ramayana, notable for breaking classical rules by showing death on stage.
