Bharuch

Also known as Barygaza, Bharukaccha, Broach, Bhrigukaccha

Bharuch is a city on the estuary of the Narmada River in Gujarat, western India, and one of the oldest ports of the subcontinent. Known to Greek and Roman merchants as Barygaza, it was the great harbour of western India in the early centuries CE, shipping goods from Ujjain and the Deccan to the Red Sea and receiving wine, metals and Roman coin, as the Periplus of the Erythraean Sea describes.
