Brihatkatha

The Brihatkatha, 'Great Story', was a vast collection of tales attributed to the poet Gunadhya and written in Paishachi Prakrit, traditionally at a Satavahana court. The original is lost, but it is known through later retellings, including the Kathasaritsagara of Somadeva and the Brihatkathamanjari of Kshemendra, both from eleventh-century Kashmir. It was a major source of Indian story literature.
