Buddu
Buddu was a county, or saza, of the Kingdom of Buganda on the western shore of Lake Victoria, around present-day Masaka in Uganda. It was taken from Bunyoro by the kabakas in the late eighteenth century, giving Buganda access to the iron and bark-cloth production and trade of the region. After the Battle of Mengo in 1892 it was assigned to the Catholic party.
