Calahorra

Also known as Calagurris

Calahorra is a town in La Rioja, northern Spain, above the Ebro valley, known in Roman times as Calagurris. It held out for Sertorius in a famine-stricken siege that ended in 72 BCE and later became a Roman municipium. It was the birthplace of the rhetorician Quintilian and probably of the Christian poet Prudentius.
