Carrión de los Condes
Carrión de los Condes is a town on the Carrión river in the province of Palencia, Castile and León. Its name recalls the counts of the Banu Gómez family who held it in the 10th and 11th centuries, and the infantes de Carrión of the Cantar de mio Cid. A major stop on the Way of St James, it has Romanesque churches and the monastery of San Zoilo.
