Person
Chararic
Chararic was a Frankish king of the late 5th and early 6th centuries who ruled a small kingdom in northern Gaul. Gregory of Tours relates that he stood aside in Clovis I's war against Syagrius, and that Clovis later captured him and his son, had them tonsured as clergy and then killed them. His death was part of Clovis's elimination of rival Frankish kings.
