Constantine II of Greece
Constantine II of Greece was the last king of Greece, reigning from 1964. He clashed with the government of Georgios Papandreou and accepted the colonels' coup of April 1967, but his failed counter-coup that December forced him into exile. The junta abolished the monarchy in 1973, and a referendum in 1974 confirmed the republic.
