Dikhow River
The Dikhow is a river of Upper Assam in north-east India, a south-bank tributary of the Brahmaputra. It rises in the hills of Nagaland and flows north-west through the town of Sivasagar to join the Brahmaputra. The early Ahom kingdom lay between the Dikhow and the Burhi Dihing, and the later Ahom heartland around Sivasagar, with its capitals, temples and royal tanks, lies along its lower course.
