Dornbirn

Dornbirn is the largest town in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg, lying in the Rhine valley east of Lake Constance. The lords of Ems held castles above it in the Middle Ages, and it came under Habsburg rule in the late 14th century. From the 19th century it grew into a centre of the textile industry, and it is now the economic hub of the region.
