Dreros
Dreros is an ancient Greek city in eastern Crete, near modern Neapoli. It preserves a law inscribed around 650–600 BCE limiting repeated tenure of the office of kosmos, one of the earliest surviving Greek laws on stone, and an early temple of Apollo Delphinios with hammered bronze statues. A later oath of its young men pledged hostility to Lyttos and friendship to Knossos.
