Argo
In Greek mythology, the Argo was the ship on which Jason and the Argonauts sailed from Iolkos in Thessaly to Colchis on the Black Sea in search of the Golden Fleece. It was said to have been built by Argus with the help of Athena and to carry a speaking timber from the oak of Dodona. The voyage was told most fully in the Argonautica of Apollonius of Rhodes.
