El Señor Presidente
El Señor Presidente is a novel by the Guatemalan writer Miguel Ángel Asturias, written largely in the 1920s and 1930s and published in 1946. Portraying an unnamed Latin American country under a cruel and all-powerful dictator, modelled on Manuel Estrada Cabrera, it uses dreamlike and expressionist language and became a founding work of the Latin American dictator novel.
