Eóganacht Raithlind
The Eóganacht Raithlind were a branch of the Eóganacht dynasties of Munster, based in the south of the province around Cork and the Bandon valley, who at times held the kingship of Munster in the early Middle Ages. Their Uí Echach line became the O'Mahonys, while the Uí Donnchada, ancestors of the O'Donoghues, moved west to the lands around Killarney in the 11th and 12th centuries.
