Ezana

c. 325–340 CE · 4th century · Also known as King Ezana

Ezana was a king of Aksum who reigned c. 325–340 CE. He converted to Christianity, making the Aksumite Empire one of the first states to adopt the faith, and his coins and inscriptions reflect this change. His inscriptions also record a campaign against Meroë, which is linked to the end of the Kushite Empire.
