Fada N'Gourma
Fada N'Gourma is a town in eastern Burkina Faso and the historic capital of the Gulmanceba kingdom of Gulmu. Its king, the Bado, presided over provincial chiefs drawn from royal lineages. The French placed the kingdom under protection in 1895 and absorbed it into French West Africa, but the king of Fada N'Gourma remains a traditional ruler and the town is the chief centre of the region.
