Ferdinand II of the Two Sicilies
Ferdinand II of the Two Sicilies was the Bourbon king of Naples and Sicily from 1830 to 1859. He opened Italy's first railway, from Naples to Portici, in 1839. The Palermo rising of January 1848 against him began the revolutions of that year; he granted and then withdrew a constitution and reconquered Sicily by bombarding its cities, earning the nickname King Bomba.
