Fluvià

Also known as Fluvia

The Fluvià is a river in the province of Girona in Catalonia, north-eastern Spain, about 97 kilometres long. It rises in the volcanic district of La Garrotxa, flows past the medieval town of Besalú and reaches the Mediterranean in the Gulf of Roses, near the ancient Greek trading town of Emporion, now Empúries.
