Gessius Florus
Gessius Florus was the Roman procurator of Judaea from 64 to 66 CE, appointed under Nero. Josephus portrays him as greedy and brutal, and his seizure of money from the Temple treasury and the violent suppression of protests in Jerusalem in 66 helped spark the First Jewish–Roman War.
