Person
Glad
Glad is a duke named in the Gesta Hungarorum as ruler of the land between the Mureș, the Tisza and the Danube, the later Banat, at the time of the Hungarian conquest around 900. The chronicle says he came from Vidin and fought the Hungarians with Cuman, Bulgarian and Vlach troops before submitting. His historicity is disputed; the Gesta makes Ahtum his descendant.
