Gwandu Emirate
The Gwandu Emirate was the western half of the Sokoto Caliphate, governed by Abdullahi dan Fodio and his descendants after the caliphate was divided between him and Muhammad Bello. It oversaw emirates in the western part of the caliphate. It was absorbed into British and French colonial territories during the caliphate's decline at the start of the twentieth century.
