Habr Yunis
The Habr Yunis are a major clan of the Isaaq clan family of the Somali people, living mainly in the Togdheer and Sahil regions of Somaliland and in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Around 1787 they formed their own sultanate, breaking away from the Isaaq Sultanate, and in the 1880s they signed protection treaties with Britain. Their sultans were based near Toon and later around Burao.
