Hergé
Hergé was the pen name of Georges Remi, a Belgian cartoonist best known for "The Adventures of Tintin", which began in 1929. His clear-line drawing style shaped the Franco-Belgian comics tradition, and the series was translated into dozens of languages. His record during the German occupation, when Tintin appeared in a collaborationist newspaper, drew criticism after the war.
