Huexotzinca

Also known as Huexotzincan

The Huexotzinca were the people of Huexotzinco, an independent city-state in central Mexico. Along with Tlaxcala, it was a regular opponent of the Aztec Empire in the Flower Wars. These ritualised conflicts supplied captives for sacrifice and kept Aztec warriors in training.
