Huete

Huete is a town in the province of Cuenca, Castile-La Mancha, Spain. In the 11th century it was, with Uclés, a stronghold of the Berber Banu Dhi al-Nun before they took power in Toledo. In 1172 the Almohad caliph Abu Yaqub Yusuf besieged it without success, and it later became a Castilian town known for its convents and churches.
