Imad Shahi dynasty

1490–1574 · 15th century

The Imad Shahi dynasty ruled the Berar Sultanate, the smallest of the Deccan sultanates, from Ellichpur in central India. It was founded around 1490 by Fathullah Imad-ul-Mulk, a Bahmani governor, as the Bahmani Sultanate broke up. The Ahmadnagar Sultanate annexed Berar in 1574.
