Juntas Generales of Biscay
The Juntas Generales of Biscay are the general assembly of the province of Biscay in the Basque Country. In the Middle Ages they met under the oak of Guernica, where the lords of Biscay swore to respect the fueros, and they governed the province's affairs until the fueros were abolished in 1876. Restored in 1979, they are now its provincial parliament.
