Kalahom
The Kalahom was one of the two great ministries of the Siamese state from the Ayutthaya period, headed by the Samuha Kalahom and responsible originally for military affairs and later for the administration of the southern provinces. Traditionally attributed to the reforms of King Borommatrailokkanat in the fifteenth century, it became the Ministry of Defence in King Chulalongkorn's reforms of 1892.
