Kapyl

Also known as Kopyl

Kapyl (Kopyl) is a small town in the Minsk Region of Belarus, south of Minsk and north-west of Slutsk. In 1395 Grand Duke Vytautas granted Slutsk and Kapyl to Volodymyr Olgerdovich, and it remained part of the Olelkovich duchy of Slutsk and later the Radziwiłł estates. It passed to the Russian Empire in 1793.
