Olelkovich

Also known as Olelkovich family, Olelkowicz, Olelkovichi

The Olelkovich were a princely family of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, descended from Olelko (Alexander) Vladimirovich, a grandson of Grand Duke Algirdas. They ruled the Principality of Kiev until 1471 and held Slutsk as a hereditary duchy, where they were leading patrons of the Orthodox Church. The male line died out in 1592, and the heiress Sophia brought their lands to the Radziwiłł family.
