Kech District
Kech is a district of Balochistan in south-western Pakistan, centred on the Kech valley and the town of Turbat. Its date-palm oases made it the heart of Makran, ruled in the 19th century by the Gichki family as vassals of the Khanate of Kalat. The valley also holds the ancient settlement mound of Miri Qalat.
