Gwadar
Gwadar is a port city on the Makran coast of Balochistan in south-western Pakistan, on a hammerhead peninsula facing the Arabian Sea. Granted by the Khan of Kalat to an Omani prince in the 1780s, it remained an Omani possession until it was sold to Pakistan in 1958. Since the 2000s a deep-water port has been developed there with Chinese investment.
