Keira dynasty

Also known as Keira

The Keira dynasty was the ruling dynasty of the Darfur Sultanate, founded in the seventeenth century by Sulayman Solong. It ruled until the defeat of Sultan Ibrahim in 1874. It was restored under Ali Dinar after 1898 until Darfur's incorporation into Anglo-Egyptian Sudan in 1916.
