Suleiman Solong
Suleiman Solong was the founder of the Darfur Sultanate in the early seventeenth century. According to the Darfur Sultanate profile, he consolidated the authority of the Keira clan over the diverse peoples of the Marrah Mountains region. He is remembered as the first sultan of Darfur.
