Kirrha

Also known as Cirrha

Kirrha was an ancient town on the Gulf of Corinth below Delphi, serving as the port for pilgrims to the oracle. Accused of mistreating and taxing visitors, it was destroyed by the Amphictyony in the First Sacred War in the early 6th century BCE, and its plain was dedicated to Apollo and left uncultivated. A later settlement on the site served Delphi as its harbour.
