Kulin

Also known as Kulin nation

The Kulin are an alliance of five Aboriginal nations of central Victoria, Australia, including the Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung, whose lands cover the Port Phillip region. They share related languages and kinship ties. Melbourne was founded on Kulin land in 1835, and colonisation rapidly dispossessed them; the Coranderrk station near Healesville became a centre of their community and political action.
