Kunar River
The Kunar River rises near the Broghil Pass in the Hindu Kush and flows south-west through Chitral in north-western Pakistan, where it is known as the Chitral or Mastuj river, into eastern Afghanistan. There it passes through Kunar province and joins the Kabul River near Jalalabad. Its valley has long been a route between Central Asia and the Indian subcontinent.
