Lavanaprasada was a chief of the Vaghela branch of the Chaulukya family of Gujarat. In the early 13th century he and his son Viradhavala acted as regents and generals for the weak Chaulukya king Bhima II, defending the kingdom against Muslim and Yadava attacks from their base at Dholka.
