Yadava
The Yadavas are an ancient lineage of Indian tradition, descended from the legendary king Yadu. In the Mahabharata and the Puranas they are the clans of Mathura and Dwarka to which Krishna belonged. Many later dynasties and communities, among them the Seuna Yadavas of Devagiri, Rajput houses such as the Jadauns and the Varmans of Bengal, claimed Yadava descent.
