Seuna Yadava dynasty

c. 1187–1317 · 12th century · Also known as Yadavas of Devagiri, Seuna dynasty

The Seuna Yadava dynasty ruled much of the western Deccan in India from its capital Devagiri, modern Daulatabad, from the late 12th century. Former feudatories of the Western Chalukyas, they fought the Hoysalas, Kakatiyas, Paramaras and the Vaghelas of Gujarat. Alauddin Khalji's raid on Devagiri in 1296 made them tributaries of the Delhi Sultanate, which annexed the kingdom in 1317.
