Legio XIV Gemina
Legio XIV Gemina was a legion of the Roman army and one of the four that took part in the emperor Claudius's invasion of Britain in 43 CE. It played a leading part in Suetonius Paulinus's defeat of Boudica's revolt in 60 or 61, earning the title Martia Victrix, and was later withdrawn from Britain. From the early second century it was based at Carnuntum on the Danube.
