Lincolnshire
Lincolnshire is a large county in the East Midlands of England, stretching from the Humber estuary to the Wash. In the Iron Age it was part of the territory of the Corieltauvi, and its northern part later formed the Anglian kingdom of Lindsey before falling under Mercia and then Danish settlement. It is mostly low-lying farmland, with the Wolds and the Fens, and its county town is Lincoln.
