River Witham
The River Witham is a river of Lincolnshire in eastern England, flowing about 130 km from near Grantham through Lincoln to The Wash at Boston. It formed the southern boundary of the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Lindsey, and its fenland valley has yielded many prehistoric finds, such as the Iron Age Witham Shield. Medieval Boston grew as a port near its mouth.
